Senate Clerk, Adedotun Durojaiye Is Dead

Adedotun Durojaiye the acting clerk of the Nigerian Senate is dead.

According to The Nation, Durojaire died on Sunday, November 8, at a hospital in Abuja.

Sources close to the Lagos-born civil servant said he had been ill for some time before his death.

However there was no official confirmation as at last night.

Until his death, Durojaiye was promoted as acting clerk of the Senate in April 2014.

He was in charge of the inauguration of the 8th senate and conducted the elections of principal officers on Tuesday, June 9 which produced Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu as Senate president and deputy Senate president respectively.
