The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, held an inter-religious service to pray for Nigeria as well as the President Goodluck Jonathan.

The payer points included the continued peace and unity in Nigeria, God's preservation of  President Jonathan to administer the country well and victory in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The Lagos State PDP Chairman, Chief Tunji Shelle, who spoke with newsmen after the session,  said the prayer was organised to seek God’s face “as the party gets ready for the 2015 polls.

“We want to usher in 2014 with prayers and we believe that come 2015, the PDP will pilot the affairs of Lagos State.

“There is nothing you can achieve without God and by His grace, we will have a landslide victory in 2015 polls.

“We are all aware of the violence in some parts of the country.
