Stephanie Okereke, Hubby Gets Queen's Invite

Ex-beauty queen and Nollywood actress Stephanie Okereke-Linus and her husband, Linus Idahosa are one lovely couple who have been celebrating good things. Since they got married things seems to be falling in the right places for them.

32 year old actress and her husband have been specially invited by the Queen of England to be honoured at the 2015 edition of Queen’s Young Leaders Award which is holding today, June 22, 2015 at the Buckingham Palace.

The Queen’s Young Leaders Award recognizes and celebrates exceptional people between the ages of 18-29 from across the Commonwealth member countries. The award winners are people who are taking the lead in their communities and are transforming lives with their skills. They must have made a lasting difference in their communities.

Stephanie shared their invitation with her fans on her Instagram page yesterday.

 

Four Nigerians are receiving the Queen's Young Leaders Award and they are Isaiah Owolabi, Nkechikwu Azinge, Oladipupo Ajiroba and Kelvin Ogholi.

The winners will receive a special package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK in association with Cambridge University. They will also meet with Prime Minister, David Cameron, at 10 Downing Street and then the UK headquarters of global social networking company, Twitter, with senior executives at the BBC World Service.

With this support, award winners are expected to continue and develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities to raise awareness and inspire change in areas of education, climate change, gender equality, mental health and disability equality.
