APC Newly Elected Governors Pay Homage To GMB (PHOTOS)

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded elections have paid a courtesy visit today on President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governors-elect who arrived the venue of the meeting with a coaster bus were led by the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) and Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. The governors-elect, affirmed that they were there to officially congratulate Buhari on his victory.

Speaking at the gathering, Okorocha praised Nigerians for the victory of Buhari, saying they used their votes to demand for change.

Buhari who addressed the governors-elect after Okorocha spoke, re-affirmed his commitment to the security of every life and property in Nigeria, saying "no Nigerian should live in fear or Sambisa forest."  

He assured them of his administration's focus on economic issues, citing increase in stock value & value to Naira after his victory at the polls.

Among those who visited Buhari are Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, his Borno State counterpart, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, Kaduna State governor-elect, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Sokoto State governor-elect and current Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, Nassarawa State governor, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura and Kano State governor-elect, Alhaji Usman Ganduje.

Also at the event were Vice-President-elect, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo and APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

Meanwhile, Senator-elect and Chairman of Silverbird Group,  Ben Murray-Bruce recently stated that Buhari will soon wish he had not won the presidential election if he does not take serious measures to improve Nigeria’s economy.
