Ekiti Tape: Jonathan Won't Order Investigation

President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the idea of carrying out an investigation into the controversial audio allegedly revealing a plot by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the military to rig the Ekiti state elections held June 21, 2014.

Jonathan explained why there was no need for an investigation:

"It’s all fabrications. Why should I investigate things that are not real?"

Meanwhile the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Kayode Fayemi, who was defeated in Ekiti, said:

"It’s very sad. The military has lost any democratic control."
