T.B Joshua Supporters Protest In Lagos

Latest reports inform that supporters of Prophet T.B Joshua, General Overseer of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, staged a peaceful protest today at a Lagos High Court.

According to P.M NEWS report, the supporters carried placards to state categorically that thorough investigation is required before judgment can be passed over the collapse of a guest house belonging to the Synagogue Church situated in Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos.

It would be recalled that the six storey building collapsed in the church premises on 12 September, 2014, killing at least 115 people and injuring over 100.

After the collapse of the guest house, T.B. Joshua came under serious criticisms from individuals and groups after he attributed the collapse to a terror attack and released a video to back his claims.

Only recently, Joshua was urged by the Youths in Arigidi-Akoko in Akoko Northwest local government of Ondo State to relocate to his home in continuation of his pastoral duties.

The concerned youths, under the aegis of Congress of Akoko Youths (CAY), in a statement signed by its President, Babatunde Momoh and Trustees Chairman, Olanipekun Olugbenga decried the move by some government agents to distort facts by deliberately shifting blames of the saboteurs to T.B Joshua.

The group called for thorough investigations on the alleged assassination attempt on the life of the Pastor.

They wondered why the state agencies quickly rushed to the press to indict the leadership of SCOAN without proper investigation of the incident.

Also, traditional rulers in Akoko area of Ondo State have cautioned ‘mischief makers’ to stop blaming Joshua over the collapse guest house.

In a statement jointly signed by the Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Akadiri Momoh and the Akala of Ikaram-Akoko, Oba Andrew Momodu on behalf of the monarchs in the four local government areas, they described as unacceptable a situation where some people would be casting aspersions on the Prophet of God who hails from Arigidi Akoko.

They said this was happening when the enquiry instituted by the Lagos State government into the incident was yet to be concluded.

It would be recalled that Prophet TB Joshua of SCOAN had attributed the tragic collapse to a strange aircraft which hovered over the building for some minutes before the incident.

Meanwhile, professional builders in Lagos State, have faulted the “strange aircraft”  theorypurported by the Synagogue church.

Several groups have called for the arrest and trial of T.B Joshua.
