Popular internet sensation Ikorodu Bois keep making Nigerians proud and the Lagos state government is the latest body to appreciate the young boys.

In a post shared by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Facebook, he announced that he welcomed the talented group and also praised them for using their amazing talent to put themselves and Ikorodu on the global map.

Sanwo-Olu thanked the group for paying him a visit at the government house and mentioned that the state is proud of them.

The governor also disclosed that Lagos state is committed to developing creative talents as it continues to serve as the premier destination for musical, art, and creative talent generation in Africa.

He wrote:

"Today, I welcomed generational filmmaking talent Ikorodu Bois, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix, earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY. As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today."

Nigerians dropped their opinions about the meeting, while some praised the governor, others said that he would not have noticed the boys if they had not been recognised internationally.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Ikorodu Bois featured on a Netflix advert displayed on Broadway, Times Square, New York City.

Times Square is a major tourist destination and entertainment centre in the United States, and in the advert, a clip of a trailer recreated by Ikorodu Bois was included.

This puts the talented group in the same class as Tiwa Savage, Davido, Burna Boy, and other Nigerian celebrities who have appeared on a billboard in the famous city.

This came after the young boys left many impressed with their remake of Army of the Dead Trailer.
