The England international has scored eight goals and recorded three assists in just nine games for the Hammers, and has been integral for Moyes’ side’s fight for Champions League football.

He was on target yet again with two goals as West Ham beat Leicester City 3-2 to climb back to fourth place.

Mark Noble, who marked his 400th appearance for West Ham in the game, was happy with his side’s win but he will be a little worried for his pockets following Lingard’s heroics.

Turns out Noble made an audacious bet with Lingard when he first came to West Ham.

The West Ham legend recently disclosed that he made a bet that if Lingard scored eight goals for the club, he would pay for a night out for him at one of the swanky hotels in England.

“When he first came to the club, I had a bet with him that if he got eight goals I would pay for a night out for him and a stay in the Corinthia Hotel,” Noble explained.
“So it’s going to cost me a fortune, those two goals.
“As much as I was buzzing that he got them, it’s now going to be costing me a few quid!”

The Corinthia Hotel, located at the heart of London, is not cheap either, as one can cough upto KSh 73,315 (£500) a night.

Lingard the difference for West Ham

Since joining the West London no player has been involved in more goals in the Premier League than the 27-year old, who looked dusted when he was an Manchester United.

His incredible form has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, who are willing to put in an offer for his services in the summer.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how impressive West Ham United striker Jesse Lingard reacted to his side’s 2-1 loss to Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday, February 27.

The Manchester United loanee has been in blistering form for the Hammers since he left the Old Trafford club.

Manchester City continued their unbeaten run in the Premier League after they narrowly beat West Ham United by 2-1 at the Etihad.
