Ronald Koeman told the Nou Camp outfit he wanted the Lyon striker but they were unable to seal the deal owing to the financial crisis they are facing due to deadly coronavirus.

They are now hoping to move for the Manchester City legend but they will face stern competition from Paris Saint Germain who are also interested in the four-time Premier League winner.

"Sergio Agüero updates. Barcelona have opened talks and are considering him as an ‘option’ [Depay is on the list too]. Also, PSG asked for info about salary requests.
"Juventus and Chelsea have different priorities, as of today. Manchester United rumours, 100% fake."

Aguero won four Premier Leagues and several other domestic titles during his 10 year reign at the Etihad Stadium, but he was unable to deliver Champions League glory within the period.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Argentine forward Sergio Aguero will part ways with Manchester City at the end of this campaign.
