Taaooma responds to allegations by filmmaker over N1.5 million skit

- A Nigerian filmmaker, @olaondeck, has called out comedian Taaooma on social media

- The filmmaker claimed the comedian charged N1.5 million to make a video for his client

- @olaondeck also accused Taaooma of refusing to make amends despite the client’s dissatisfaction with the video

- However, in a recent update by the comedian's management, it was stated that the claims by @olaondeck are completely false

Sensational comedian Maryam Apaokagi aka Taaooma has been called out on social media by a filmmaker identified as @olaondeck.

The filmmaker in a post shared on his Twitter page claimed Taaooma charged his client the sum of N1.5 million for a video that didn’t entirely meet the expectations of the client.

According to him, after the comedian was informed about the dissatisfaction with her execution of the project, she allegedly maintained a “take it or leave it” position.

"She shot video and the client doesn’t like the work done. And her position is take it or leave," his tweet read in part.

@olaondeck went on to note that they do not want a full refund of the N1.5 million but at least expect a sense of concession from the comic star.

In a different tweet, the filmmaker also made a reference to comedian Maraji, claiming that she and her team members are difficult to work with.

"Maraji didn’t do anything in this situation and she is a fantastic storyteller. However, ask anyone who has worked with her and her team, she’s not the easiest person to work with. Hence the reason for the honest comparison."

Responding to the allegations, the comedian's management, The Greenade Company, issued a statement via Twitter dismissing the claims made by the filmmaker.

"Taaooma and management never had any communications or business dealings whatsoever with this person. He is alien to us until these false tweets today. Over the years, Taaooma have proven herself to be steadfast in her dealings and bring to her large fans nothing but the best f comedy thereby bringing to most, joy and happiness through her craft, the statement read in part."

As at the time of compiling this report, the statement has been removed from the Twitter page of the management company.

Some weeks ago, Legit.ng reported that Taaooma has taken to her social media page to share a video on one of the best moments in her life. Taaooma shared the moment she was proposed to by her lover called Abula in Namibia.
