Davido shows support for Bobi Wine in Uganda's ongoing presidential election

Nigerian singer Davido seems to have a soft spot for Ugandan politician Bobi Wine who is one of the 11 presidential candidates in the country's ongoing election.

Uganda's presidential elections held on Thursday, January 14, and the two leading candidates are Wine and the current President Yoweri Museveni.

The Omo Baba Olowo crooner took to his official Twitter page to hail Wine.

Davido also used the opportunity to ask for prayers for the young presidential candidate and the citizens of Uganda.

The singer then shared a photo of Wine and captioned it with Uganda's flag and a praying emoji.

The election results released so far by the Ugandan Electoral Commission, national tally centre indicate that the incumbent president is maintaining an early lead over his main challenger Bobi Wine.

However, Wine has alleged that the presidential election was marred by widespread fraud and violence.

In other news about Davido, Legit.ng earlier reported that the singer shared a photo of the touching note he wrote to his mum after she died.

The singer disclosed that he stumbled upon the note which he had written as a little boy.

In the heart-melting note, Davido expressed how much he loves his mother and how he misses her hugs, kisses, and smile. The father of three also accompanied the post with a throwback photo of him and his mother.
