Manchester City have reportedly agreed a £17million deal to sign Argentine winger Dario Sarmiento who many have branded as the ‘mini Messi’.

The youngster will reportedly join the Etihad outfit when he turns 18 in March as he currently plays for Estudiantes where former midfielder Veron is the chairman.

According to South American football expert Tim Vikery, the deal is almost complete as the Citizens have been following the youngster because of his style of play.

He told talkSPORT:

"It’s a horrible thing to say about anyone, but there’s a mini Messi in him – that’s why City have been following him.

However, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been handed a huge boost after Lionel Messi hinted former teammate Neymar he will leave the French club this summer.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner will be out of contract with Barcelona at the end of this campaign. He nearly walked away from the Nou Camp outfit in August after handing the former board his transfer request.

However, he made a U-turn before the start of the ongoing season after deciding to see out his contract.
