Goals from Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka and a double from Alexandre Lacazette ensured a comfortable victory for Arsenal in snowy conditions at the Hawthorns.

Westbrom approached the game much in braver fashion compared to the Liverpool game as they tried to create chances early on.

But it was Arsenal who showed a more cutting edge in front of goal, with 19-year old Bukayo Saka looking the most dangerous on the attack.

The first goal came in the 23rd minute courtesy of Tierney, who collected a cross-field ball inside the West Brom half, beat Darnell Furlong before curling in a delightful ball past the keeper.

From then, Arsenal sparked to life as they exerted themselves into the game and five minutes later, they scored another brilliantly-orchestrated goal.

A decent attack featuring a nice string of passes involving Saka, Lacazzete and Emile Smith Rowe ended with Saka walking the ball past the net with the Wesbrom defence completely sliced open in the build up.

Arsenal sensed blood after that and nearly got a third but Lacazette’s effort deflected off a Westbrom defender and Sam Johnstone readjusted to tip the ball over the bar.

Lacazette was not to be denied twice as he walked slotted home a low shot from 10 yards after a couple of shots were parried away.

Kieran Tierney then turned provider when he sent in a decent cross for Lacazette to hit one to the roof of the net.

It was a fairly quiet night for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who did not look his sharpest on the day as he spunned a good opportunity in the second half when he sent a Willian cross over the bar.

In the end, it was a comprehensive victory for the Gunners who now climb to 11th with 23 points.

For Westbrom, their struggles continue under Sam Allardyce, who was brought in with the hopes of turning the Baggies’ season around.
