After West Brom managed to win just one game in their last 13 Premier League fixtures, team manager Slaven Bilic has been relieved of his duties on Wednesday afternoon, December 16.

According to latest reports by UK outlet Mirror, the 52-year-old tactician was booted out of the club after 18 months in charge, despite returning them to the English top-flight last season.

Bilic saw his side battle to earn a precious point at Manchester City on Tuesday night, December 15, but despite that, he was fired.

It was gathered that the club had already reached the decision to sack the manager even though he still has six months left on his contract.

The Croatian guided the Baggies to clinch automatic promotion when they came second behind Leeds United in the Championship last season.

He had been appointed by the West Midlands outfit after a brief stint at Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League, where he was dismissed by the Jeddah-based club after winning just four of his 17 matches in charge.

Reports say the club spent the whole of Tuesday deliberating on which manager to succeed Bilic and there different names that came up as a possible replacement for Bilic, but Allardyce has a better chance.

Mark Hughes and Nigel Pearson are reportedly being considered, but Allardyce is a strong figure to take over.
