Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane believes Atletico Madrid are favourtites to win the Spanish League this season.

Diego Simeone's men sit atop of the table with 26 points from 10 league games - six points better than their city rivals with one game in hand.

Los Blancos will now hope they can cut the gap to three points at the end of their meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend.

And the Frenchman says Simeone's men are at advantage to win the title with their current status on the log while addressing the media during his press conference:

"Yes, for sure. That is what they're showing. They are doing well on the pitch, they are winning. They have always been a competitive team and they are top of the table today."
"We'll have to deal with what they do well. Atleti are a team that always compete, they have for a long time, that's what I expect. As for the rest, we'll look at what we will do, that is what interests me more."

"What we want in every game, every three days, is to show the team we are, without thinking about winning the league.

Real Madrid clinched the title last season with a 10-game post-lockdown winning streak but have struggled to maintain that consistency so far this campaign.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Sergio Ramos could be on his way out of Real Madrid when his contract ends next summer after 16 seasons with the Spanish giants.

The 34-year-old is free to speak with other clubs from January 2021, and top clubs in Europe are already showing interest in the centre-back.

Spanish news media outlet Onda Cero quoted by Sport Bible reported the defender is considering listening to offers from Italy, France and England.
