Belgium international Kevin De Bruyne who currently plays for Manchester City is reportedly on the verge of signing new contract at the Etihad stadium worth £300,000-a-week deal.

Although Kevin De Bruyne's current deal with Manchester City will expire in the next three years, but the club's chiefs want the Belgian to commit his future to the side.

De Bruyne has already spent five years of his football career in Manchester and has stated that both himself and his family are happy in England.

He did admit that if Manchester City’s two year UEFA ban had stood then he might have had to consider his future at the Etihad stadium.

But the Court of Arbitration for Sports has cleared Manchester City and the Citizens will continue to play in the Champions League.

According to the report on UK Sun, Manchester City chiefs have had a progress in their efforts for De Bruyne to sign a new deal.

Manchester City have not done well this term in the Premier League as they have only garnered four points from their first three games played.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported how Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher rated De Bruyne the next best player in the world after the duo of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Belgian superstar was instrumental for Manchester City in their opening day victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, September 21.

He opened scoring for the Citizens from the spot just after 20 minutes of action before Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus added theirs later in the meeting.

Also, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United completed the signing of 600-goal wonderkid Charlie McNeill from rivals Manchester City in a deal reported to be £750,000.

The Red Devils confirmed that they have signed two players who are Charlie NcNeill and Alejandro Garnacho and they will be in the side's Under 18 team.

Garnacho has already completed his self-isolation period and is ready to get down to work this term at Old Trafford for the possibility of breaking into the main team in future.

Last season, Garnacho played for Atletico Madrid second team and was impressive in all the games he played in Spain.
