As the 2020 BBNaija show approaches its finale, the buzz surrounding it has heightened especially after the disqualification of a housemate, Erica.
Filmmaker, Imoh Umoren, recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the ongoing wars among fans of the reality show.
Reacting to this, Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya, explained that the way Nigerians follow the show is uncommon. The British-born actress who spent a better part of her life in the UK, stated that the fanaticism makes no sense.

She wrote: "I watched Big Brother UK for years before moving to Nigeria. How people watch it here just isn’t a thing anywhere else. The fanaticism makes no sense, for people you’ve watched on tv for just 5 weeks? Unbelievable! I’m not involved!"

This comes shortly after Erica was disqualified from the show causing a major buzz on social media.
Recall earlier, Legit.ng reported the news of how the Lockdown housemate was disqualified from the show after she got her third strike for breaking several rules in the house.
Well, despite the heartbreak it caused her fans, they didn't dwell too much on it and shortly after, opened a GoFundMe account to raise the sum of N100m - N15 million more than the grand prize for BBNaija - for Erica.
Within hours, the account had already raised over N3.4 million ($9,026) for the disqualified housemate who until her exit, was incumbent Head of House.
This has got Nigerians reacting in shock and amazement with many accusing her fans of supporting toxic behaviour. Others, however, are of the opinion that many people contributing to the crowdfunding have misplaced priorities.
Also, Erica recently spoke up in a new interview shortly after her disqualification from the reality show.
