It has just been a few hours into the fifth season of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show yet social media is already filled with drama about the new housemates in the house.

Just recently, one of the new BBNaija ladies, Rebecca Nengi Hampson, was accused of lying about her age on the reality show.

During her introduction at the show premiere, Nengi had told the season’s host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu that she is aged 20.

However, social media users were quick to do some background check on the lady and from indications; she may not have been entirely honest about her age.

A particular Twitter user identified as @mizzeah_ appeared to have taken the trouble to run a check on the BBNaija housemate.

The lady posted a photo which was shared on Nengi’s official Instagram page. In the caption, Nengi was described as a 22-year-old from Bayelsa and was also said to have won the Miss Peace Bayelsa contest in 2014.

@mizzeah_ shared a different screenshot from the official page of the Miss Peace beauty pageant. The screenshot contained the eligibility age for those who want to participate in the contest and it appears there are discrepancies in Nengi’s age.
