- Tiwa said that it is not such a bad idea but that she feels the modern African woman is being limited

Times are evolving and black women, particularly in Africa are now more confident to speak up on things that concern them but does not sit right with them.

Just recently, one of the top female singers in Nigeria, Tiwa Savage, used her social media platform, via her Instagram page, to speak on the modern black woman.

Tiwa has the idea that a black woman can be so much more as she expressed that a lot of people still have the idea that a woman must be submis*sive and stay at home as a wife or mother.

Expressing herself further, Tiwa, who is also a mother of one, said that these are not such bad values to keep but that she feels a woman can be so much more because a modern black woman is being limited.

In her words: “A lot of people in Africa still have the idea that a woman has to be submis*sive, stay at home and be the wife and mother. Don’t get me wrong. Those are great morals to keep. But I think the modern African woman, the modern black woman is being limited. We can do both.
