COVID-19: BBNaija Tacha reacts to President Buhari's Twitter address

Recently, President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the nation in a series of posts on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter. The president addressed Nigerians about the steps he has taken to contain the spread of coronavirus.

In his tweets, the presidents also told Nigerians what he is doing to make lives better during the lockdown period.

Big Brother Naija star, Natacha Akide, popular known as Tacha, has shared a video of herself calling out the president over his address. She noted that he should not have addressed the nation on the platform.

According to her, this is the time Nigerians need to hear from their president. She said he is supposed to be giving hope and speaking to the people that voted him in.

The former reality star also added that the president should not be talking to Nigerians through his aides or through social media platforms at a time when the country is battling a pandemic.

Tacha went ahead to call out Nigerians also. She said Nigerians are forgetting how big we are in Africa and no one cared about how Nigerians were addressed from a micro-blogging platform. She asked if Nigerians voted for President Buhari on Twitter.

As people have been asked to stay indoors in order to contain the spread of the virus during the pandemic, many people have been stopped from doing their daily activities due to this.

The singer recently recorded a video mock crying and saying how she should be in a restaurant enjoying a good meal. In the video, the rapper mock cried as she munched on her cereals saying she did not understand why she was not in a restaurant having sushi.

She said: "Like I shouldn't be eating cereal. Like I should be in a restaurant eating sushi. Like, why are we going through this? I don't understand it."
