Secondary school boy shows off wooden robot built by him

It is no news that when it comes to impressive innovations, Nigerians never fail to show themselves. Currently trending online is a video of a secondary school boy whose creation has left many people in awe.

Legit.ng recently came across a video shared to an Instagram blog, @Ebalsblog, of the young boy. In the video, the yet-to-be-identified boy is seen showing off his robot made out of wood.

The robot which is about 10 inches tall, is seen moving about in a human-like manner; one step at a time. The young man follows behind, surrounded by his classmates who are equally impressed by his invention.

Only a while ago, two preteens made the country proud by inventing an amazing technology that can be used as assistants at home during chores. The kids, Oluwatobiloba Nsikakabasi Owolola and Fathia Abdullahi, successfully built robots after just a year of learning how to code.

Owolola invented one he named the robot grabber. The robot functions as help that moves things around the house.

In an interview with BBC, Owolola said: "This is the robot grabber, I programmed it to identify an object and take it to another position."

Abdullahi invented a robot that functions to assist people after laundry. The robot folds clothes perfectly.

According to her, she decided to build the robot because that was the problem she had at home. She said: "I decided to build a robot that folds clothes because that is the problem we have at home."
