Adekunle Gold charges parents with male children to raise them properly

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold recently used his social media platform to drop some important words of advice for his fans and followers on social media, especially those among them that are parents of male children.

Gold in a post shared on his official Twitter page condemned the popular saying that ‘boys will always be boys’. According to him, the statement is just a lazy parenting strategy.

The singer while explaining his point further noted that anyone that has a child also has the responsibility to raise such a child properly.

"If you have a child, you have a responsibility to raise them properly," his post read in part.

Some of his followers were not entirely in support of his post. A follower tweeted saying: "Story soldier come soldier go no matter how you raised your male child at a point in his life he will start dropping most of the things you teach him and start learning new things on his own."

Another follower who countered his post cited an example of how boys are most likely to stay out late just for the sake of football while girls would probably not do the same. The follower noted that his point still proves that boys will always remain boys.
