INEC announces massive recruitment for candidates across Nigeria
- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invites job applicants to apply for available positions in its workforce
- The electoral commission says suitable candidates should apply for employment in the position of registration area officers in local government areas (LGAs) across the country
- The commission also invites experienced professionals to send in applications for employment on grade levels 09 – 14
The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) has invited candidates to apply for employment into some positions in its workforce.
The electoral commission in a statement said suitably qualified candidates can apply for employment in the position of Registration Area Officers (RAOs) on Grade Levels 07 and 08 in the Local Government Areas (LGAs) across the country.
It also called for experienced professionals on Grade Levels 09 - 14.

According to the commission, the categories of positions available for employment include: Professionals/Experienced Hires - Grade Levels 09 -14, Administrative Officer II (Registration Area Officer) - Grade Level 08 and, Executive Officer (Registration Area Officer) - Grade Level 07.
The agency asked interested candidates to log on to its portal, inecrecruitment.com, to begin the recruitment process.
In another report, INEC has promised to ensure that People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) are carried along in its electoral policies.
The assurance was given by INEC's Civil Society Desk office, Samuel Bassey on Monday, February 10 in Abuja.
The INEC official made the comment at the launch of Break The Cycle, an empowerment initiative to combat violence against women and girls with disabilities.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the INEC to de-register more political parties.
The ruling party explained that such move will sanitise Nigeria’s electoral system. Nwachukwu Eze, the chairman of Ebonyi chapter of APC made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abakaliki.
Eze said that the de-registration process should continue until the country has a maximum of six political parties.
The chairman said that such de-registration would sanitise the electoral process, especially by eliminating complexities recorded during voting.
He urged INEC not to be distracted by complaints about the de-registration, advising it to ‘shut its ears.
The electoral commission deregistered the partied following their bad outing in the 2019 general election.
