Odion Ighalo became a hotcake during the January transfer window with a number of top European clubs vying for his signature.

And at the end of the deadline day, the Shanghai Shenhua striker ended up signing for Manchester United.

The Nigeria striker will have to play for up to six months to convince his employers to secure a permanent deal for him at Old Trafford.

But according to reports from Sky Sports, the former Watford star was also being wooed by Jose Mourinho's Tottenham and Antonio Conte's Inter Milan.

It is understood that the 30-year-old striker preferred a move to Old Trafford instead and finally secured the deal a few minutes before the close of the window.

United were also chasing a move for Bournemouth striker and they pulled the plug on the final day after the Cherries refused a short term deal for their Norwegian striker.

The Red Devils also went after Paris Saint-Germian's Edison Cavani but the Uruguayan striker decided to stay at the French club until the end of the season.

On the other hand, Tottenham failed to land a striker as a move for Olivier Giroud could not go over the line because Chelsea did not make any signing in the center forward position.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Odion Ighalo's loan move to Manchester United is one of the most talked about transfer deal in the winter market.

The former Nigerian striker completed a six-month deal from Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua on deadline day.

And the 30-year-old's move have generated lots of reactions from the Red Devils' faithfuls around the world following the move.
