President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, has shared a post that claimed he was heaven-sent to the country.

The Independent UK reports that the post shared by Trump also claimed that his predecessor, Barack Obama, 'kicked Jesus out' of the country.

According to the report, Trump shared the post on his personal Twitter handle on Friday, December 26 and also did a repost of it on his Instagram page.

The post, which was from January 2018, had a picture of a man who appears to be Jesus Christ and a caption saying: “Obama kicked me out. Trump invited me back.”

The Independent UK notes that the claim of Trump is God-sent echoes in his administration.

The US secretary of energy, Rick Perry recently described Trump as the “chosen one” and said he had told the president that he was picked by God to rule.

The former US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, also said something quite similar.

“I think God sometimes places people for lessons and sometimes places people for change,” she said.

The Independent's report came just a day after another which noted that just days after Trump said that appearing in Home Alone movie was an honour, a Canadian TV station cut out his appearance from its Christmas broadcast.

Viewers said the president’s appearance in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York was edited out of CBC.

It should be noted, however, that a spokesperson for the channel has denied the action as a political one, citing that it was to allow for a commercial slot.
