Tinubu meets Atiku in Abuja, holds brief chat with ex-vice president

- The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) met with the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, in Abuja

- The meeting took place at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in the presence of the governor of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri

- Details of the meeting were not made known, but Tunde Rahman, Tinubu's spokesperson, confirmed the meeting

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held a meeting with Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election.

The meeting is believed to be one of the rarest moments Tinubu and Atiku would meet right from the start of electioneering in late 2018 till date.

Tunde Rahman, a spokesperson of Tinubu, confirmed the meeting on his social media handle.

Rahman did not, however, disclose the details of the meeting which held on Saturday, December 14.

He explained that the duo met and exchanged views at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

"Asiwaju was on his way to Minna, Niger state to receive an honorary doctorate degree from IBB University, Lapai and former VP, Kaduna for a wedding," he said.

At the meeting was the governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Fintiri.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the leadership of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), on Thursday, December 5, described Tinubu and Atiku as the best presidents Nigeria may never have.

They said the duo have at various instances showed their interests in the development and growth of the Nigerian nation.

The president-general and the secretary-general of the organisation, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and Okwu Nnabuike, said that Atiku is a great Nigerian leader par excellence, a supporter of good governance and pillar of democracy.

It was recently reported how Tinubu asked Atiku to join hands with the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to effectively govern the country.
