Late pop icon Michael Jackson's moonwalk socks set to be auctioned for over N351m

- Alongside the socks, there is a document signed by the pop star and both are said to be worth over N351 million

The late Michael Jackson's flashy socks, worn during his performance of Billie Jean in the 1983 TV special Motown 25, are being auctioned in the United States.

The socks were from the first time the artiste busted the Moonwalk moves on stage and are expected to cash in millions of dollars.

According to TMZ, the socks are said to be part of the Frank DiLeo collection and could cost up to around N351 million and there are buyers ready for the auction.

The late Frank DiLeo was a music executive who had signed Jackson to his Epic records for five years between 1984 and 1989.

The socks will be accompanied by a signed document from Michael Jackson to DiLeo showing the awarding of the socks as a gift.

Meanwhile, the late singer who passed away 10 years ago, on June 25, 2009, has been rated as the most high-earning dead celebrities for 2019.

MJ topped the list with a whopping $60 million (N21,780,000,000), beating Elvis Presley by a wide margin who came second place with $39 million (N14,157,000,000).

Nipsey Hussle also made the list of top 10 high earners with $11 million (N3,993,000,000) income for the year 2019.
