Gbajabiamila meets Arewa youth in Abuja, says Nigeria will remain one

- Arewa youth have been advised to work with other ethnic groups to make Nigeria remain indivisible

- The country's number 4 citizen, Femi Gbajabiamila, made the plea on Friday, October 4

- Gbajabiamila noted that the country is better if the people are united

The speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, is currently meeting with the Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) in his office, Abuja.

Legit.ng reports that he said in a thread of tweet on Friday, October 4, that Nigeria would remain one indivisible nation no matter the challenges confronting it.

The speaker said the older generation of Nigerians have done their best to keep the country on track, calling on the younger generation to take over the mantle.

Gbajabiamila said the doors of the 9th National Assembly would be open to all Nigerians, especially the youth, adding that the House would be glad to partner with the AYF on issues that would bring development to the country.

He said: "We are here for you. The 9th Assembly operates an open door policy. We will be happy to receive you at any point in time."

In his remarks, Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu who led officials from the 19 northern states, thanked the speaker for visiting and donating food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno, Katsina and Zamfara states.

He said the visit was in solidarity with the speaker, especially to identify with his agenda tagged, Nation building: A joint task,' which he said the forum would promote in its activities.
