Damilare King-David: 6-year-old Nigerian student emerges youngest Microsoft expert

- Damilare King-David Akano, a six-year-old has emerged the winner of a Microsoft exam, becoming the youngest winner ever

- The young genius scored 871 out of 1000 points to defeat over 200 others who wrote the same exam during a month-long summer programme

- Toluwase Ayoola Kwaku, a 10-year-old and Kolawole Praise Akano, an eight-year-old, scored 825 and 800 points respectively to come second and third winners

Another Nigerian whizkid has made the nation proud again. Damilare King-David Akano, a six-year-old, has become the youngest Microsoft specialist as he emerged the winner in its international certification examinations.

Leadership reports that the examination was organised on Saturday, August 17. Damilare was the top winner for the Microsoft Office Power Point 2016 category with a whopping score of 871 out of the 1000 expected points.

He was followed up by Toluwase Ayoola Kwaku, a 10-year-old, who scored 825, while Kolawole Praise Akano, an eight-year-old made 800 points.

They all competed alongside 200 other students in a month long summer camp organised by New Horizons Computer Learning Systems Ltd where they had various training courses in Microsoft, Multimedia, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, among several others.

Young Damilare, with his points, has become the youngest winner ever in Africa to achieve the feat.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Whiz kid Kareem Waris Olamilekan, an 11-year-old Nigerian artist, has received the Taiwan's Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation’s 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award.

The young hyperrealistic artist defeated 2,723 others across the world to clinch the prize. The disclosure of the boy’s wining was made by Ambassador Vincent Yang, the representative of Taiwan in Nigeria.

He said Kareem gained global attention for his marvelous drawings, a uniqueness that made him the most preferred among thousands.
