Jose Mourinho has been linked with a return to Real Madrid but Sergio Ramos has played down the rumours and has told fans to keep faith with Zinedine Zidane.

The Frenchman is under immense pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu after a shaky start to the new season since his second spell with Los Blancos.

Madrid moved up to second spot in La Liga after beating league leaders Sevilla at the weekend but received a 3-0 thrashing from Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in mid-week.

The result in Paris sparked off rumours that Zidane could be sacked as manager of the club with just weeks into the new season.

Mourinho who is out of work since he was shown the exit door at Man United has been tipped to take over from Zidane.

But Ramos who had a series of clashes with the Portuguese during his first spell in charge at the Bernabeu, was quick to dismiss the rumours.

"It doesn't annoy me that his name is linked, that's how it is," said Ramos after Sunday's 1-0 win over Sevilla.

"I don't have to say if it annoys me or not, that's the situation. Here, you lose a game and you have to change something. It's difficult but that's the reality."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jose Mourinho has openly confessed that he deserved to be kicked out by Man United last December but is not happy with the team's performance this season.
