O.O. Ogundana: Senior Nigerian Naval commander goes missing

- O.O. Ogundana, a commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Command and Staff College Secondary School, Jaji in Kaduna state, has been reported missing

- Ogundana, according to sources in the military, was last seen in her office on Friday, September 13

- The sources also said that efforts to reach the missing officer through her telephone lines have proven abortive

A naval officer, who is also a commandant of the Nigeria Armed Forces Command and Staff College Secondary School, Jaji in Kaduna state, O.O. Ogundana, has been reported missing.

Sources in the military have informed journalists that Ogundana has been absent at work since Monday, September 16, after she was seen on Friday, September 13, and that efforts to reach her through her telephone lines have been unsuccessful, Premium Times reports.

Revealing that concerned persons had to force open her house door to discover her phone ringing in her room, the sources also said that Ogundana's Toyota Highlander with a number plate AAA 434 CF has been missing also.

One of the sources said: “The senior officer was actually seen last on Friday, 13th September at the secondary school which is located within the Cantonment. The incident was reported when her cell phone kept ringing and she was not picking the calls.”

Scared that the officer could have been kidnapped, authorities of the college have said that efforts to discover Ogundana's whereabouts have been intensified.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Army had said that there was observed massive exodus of Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists out of their hideout in Lake Chad Tumbus to the north and central Africa sub-regions.

Colonel Sagir Musa, the acting director of Nigeria Army public relations, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, September 19, in Abuja.
