2015: 'ACN, CPC Alliance May Fail'

Abia State Labour Party leader and former National Organising Secretary of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ceekay Igara, has expressed skepticism over a plan by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) to form a political alliance with a view to put the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to a rout in the 2015 presidential election.

Igara attributed his skepticism to the astronomical level of corruption endemic among Nigerian politicians, insisting that the ongoing alliance arrangement may suffer a political debacle.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP yesterday, he expressed dissatisfaction with PDP’s administration, adding that the ruling party has messed up a great deal as it has placed the nation on the edge of the precipice.

“The political alliance involving ACN, CPC and ANPP is a laudable move but I really doubt its success. Apparently, Nigerian politicians are very corrupt. They are vulnerable and can compromise at any time. The truth is that the PDP has messed this country up and needs to be dislodged immediately before they ruin our dear country beyond repair,” he said.
