Twitter reacts to rumour of Prince Williams' alleged affair with wife's best friend

Twitter users have reacted to the rumour about the British royal family circulating online. Twitter has been buzzing about the rumour claiming that Prince William cheated on his wife, Kate Middleton.

The spreading rumour is that Duke of Cambridge cheated on the Duchess with her best friend, Rose Hanbury.

Rose, who is the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and wife of film director, David Rocksavage, was a model before she tied the knot. Rose and the royal couple run in the same social circle.

According to The Sun, Kate and Rose reportedly had a falling out. It was said that Kate had asked William to have Rose removed from their circle because she and Rose were not on good terms.

The falling out could be the reason why the rumours about the affair began, but no one knows what truly happened.

Twitter users were furious about the alleged affair between the prince and his wife's best friend. Some users on different platforms expressed that he cheated just like his father did.

Others joked about him being royal that is not loyal.

Some users expressed that if the rumour is true, Kate would not leave her marriage due to some agreement that must have been made in the past.

However, a report by Daily Beast, stated that at least one British publication was served with legal warnings after the rumours surfaced from various publications.

One of the letters served read: "In addition to being false and highly damaging, the publication of false speculation in respect of our clients’ private life also constitutes a breach of his privacy pursuant to Article 8 of the European Convention to Human Rights."
