FG sends healthcare support to victims of Lagos school collapse

- The federal government has responded swiftly to the collapsed school building in Lagos state

- The federal ministry of health has directed all the federal health institutions in Lagos state to provide necessary healthcare support

- The ministry also directed that adequate services to the victims are rendered

The federal ministry of health has directed all the federal health institutions in Lagos state to provide necessary healthcare support and ensure adequate services to victims of the collapsed school building in the state.

The minister of health, Professor Isaac Adewole, gave the directive in a statement by Mrs Boade Akinola, the director, media and public relations of the ministry, on Wednesday, March 13 in Abuja.

Adewole, also commiserated with the families of the dead and the state government over the tragic incident.

The minister wished the injured a speedy recovery.

President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier commiserated with the government and people of Lagos, and pledged assistance of the federal government, as may be required by the state.

The president said he is extremely saddened by the collapse of the building, which left fatalities, particularly, small children.

The president made his feelings known in a press statement released by Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesman, in Abuja on Wednesday, March 13.
