Elections: Atiku can’t prove his case at tribunal - Bolori
- Atiku cannot prove his case in court that the presidential election was rigged, Honorable Bolori has said
- According to the national coordinator of north-east alliance for Buhari 2019, the reasons cited by the PDP presidential candidate were not strong enough
- Bolori said, unlike PDP, the APC has been liberating people from the strong hold of the Boko Haram insurgent group
Honorable Kaka Bolori, the national coordinator of north-east alliance for Buhari 2019, said on Thursday, March 7, that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will find it hard to prove his case in court that the presidential election was rigged.
It should be noted that Atiku had said the turnout of voters in Borno and Yobe states was a clear sign of rigging which contributed to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, Daily Trust reports.
Speaking in Abuja, Bolori said the states Atiku cited would never have voted for the PDP knowing how the party allowed the insurgent group of Boko Haram to grow without stopping it.
He said that, however, President Buhari has liberated many towns and villages from the strong hold of the insurgent group which was what made voters from the states to massively vote for him.

“The total number of registered voters in Borno State is 2.3 million with 987,290 accredited voters in the February 23rd, 2019 elections.
“Not even half the number of registered people voted on that day, so where is the rigging? The reality is that the people of Borno and Yobe states in particular and the North East in general simply have nothing to do with PDP anymore," he said.
The coordinator also said that there was no way people from the states would have taken Atiku seriously, saying that so many places were under the captivity of terrorism before the 2015 general elections.
He said: “So, how do you expect them to produce anything serious for Atiku? But the trend changed this time around because most of our people have gone back home where they voted in an atmosphere of freedom.
“Above all, prominent people from Borno state who are close to Buhari had initiated door to door campaign which turned out to be positive."
