- Los Blancos defeated Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday to win 13th Champions League title
- Ronaldo became the first player in Europe to win five UCL trophies in the history of the competition
- He has however lost his teammates support after announcing he has an important message to pass across
Read Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly lost the confidence of his teammates in the dressing room after winning this year’s Champions League title.
Los Blancos defeated Liverpool 3-1 to win their 13th European UEFA elite club competition trophy last weekend in Kiev.
However, having become the first player to win five UCL titles in the history of the competition, the Portuguese international told reporters that he will reveal where his future lies in the coming days.
And according to the Sun, the Galacticos have now turned on the Portuguese superstar after making an incredible statement. He said: "It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid."
Ronaldo’s teammates were said to have been shocked by the comments, while some others felt he outshined Los Blancos in their victory over Liverpool.
Sport claims the Galacticos are fuming with him, and will not forgive him for "spoiling" the celebrations.
The newspaper made reference to Ronaldo's comments telling Real to increase his pay to the level of his arch rival, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
He was said to have been promised a pay rise after winning the Champions League final last season but the club failed to uphold their end of the bargain.
Ronaldo currently earns £350,000-a-week, which is significantly lower than Lionel Messi (£673,000) and Neymar (£619,000) — and he wants parity.
The former Manchester United star is so obsessed with being the best as he was said to have stopped speaking to good friend Marcelo for three months after the Brazilian claimed Messi was the best in the world.
Gareth Bale started the game from the bench but his two goals for the team were all that they needed to win their third straight title in Ukraine.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo will make an important statement on his future in the coming days.
The Portugal international won his fifth career Champions League title after helping Los Blancos beat Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday, May 26, in Kiev.
Though, the 33-year-old forward didn’t score in the last three UCL games, he ended up becoming the highest goalscorer for this season with a total of 15 goals.
