Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly refused to sanction a loan move for Marcus Rashford ahead of next season.

The 20-year-old has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez during the winter transfer window, but the manager according to 90min claims the winger ‘impressed him’.

Meanwhile, reports filtering the media in England claim that the youngster is becoming heavily unhappy at Old Trafford over the lack of enough playing time at the club, which has made him to hold off on signing a new deal.

The England international is currently facing competition in the attacking position of the Red Devils with Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial considered ahead of him by his manager Mourinho.

However, he is said to be frustrated by his limited playing opportunities and will not mind pitching his tent with another club in the coming league campaign.

United earlier this season had contemplated sending the young attacker out on loan for the for the 2018/19 campaign, but Mourinho has now explained why that won't be happening.

90min quoting Manchester Evening News disclosed that the Portuguese said: "He impresses me. That’s the reason why he was selected for every match of the season - absolutely every match of the season - and that’s why he played in so many of them. So he doesn’t need to leave to play or to need anything."

Rashford has appeared 33 times this season for the Red Devils in the Premier League, but 17 of those matches he had started from the bench.

He has scored six goals in those meetings – with two of those goals coming against Liverpool in the second leg of their English topflight encounter two months ago at Old Trafford.

The youngster was promoted to the Red Devils’ senior team in 2015 by former manager Louis Van Gaal and he has made 76 topflight appearances for the club since then with 16 goals to his credit.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Spanish League giants Real Madrid have shown interest in signing the Marcus Rashford on loan this summer.
