President Buhari arrives Daura ahead of APC ward congress
- Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday afternoon landed in Daura for the ward congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
- The president is expected to participate in the ward congress at Sarkin Yara A ward in Daura
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, May 4, arrived his country home, Daura to participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congress at Sarkin Yara A ward slated for Saturday, May 5.
Sarkin Yara A consists of 15 polling stations and 26 party executives.
According to Leadership, the presidential jet conveying him touched down at Umaru Musa Ya’Adua Airport, Katsina state at exactly 4:28 pm and shortly after, President Buhari was conveyed in a police chopper to Daura.
The ruling party fixed Saturday, May 5, for the ward congress while it fixed the local government area (LGA) and state congresses for May 12 and May 19 respectively.

On hand to receive the president on his arrival at the airport were Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Senator Abu Ibrahim and the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Bala Usman, among others.
Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari landed in the night of Thursday, May 3, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja after a successful official visit to the United States where he held bilateral talks with President Donald Trump.

The presidential aircraft carrying the president and some members of his entourage landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 10.35pm.
Before arriving in Nigeria, Mallam Garba Shehu said the president’s aircraft had a technical stopover in London.
