April Joju Muse, Nigerian actress known for her role in drama series Tinsel, has revealed that she was molested as a child in church. The actress stated that Jesus Christ did not save her even though she was being harmed in the church.
The actress who revealed that she was molested by a woman claimed that she had reported the incident to her Sunday school teacher but he did not take her seriously. She noted that because of what happened she had to grow up keeping silent about the molestation.
According to her, so many children are going through what she went through at the age of six and no one has come to their aid. She blamed religion for what happened to her, stating that people continue to face terrible incidents due to religious bias.

Muse further stated that she sees no point praying if religion and the church could not protect her when she needed it.
The young actress revealed that after the first incident she continued to face the same molestation every time she went to Sunday school because she had no one to talk to or come to her aid and save her from the perpetrator.
After Muse shared her post on her Facebook page, a controversial discussion was raised. Some Nigerians agreed with the actress while others tried to explain to her that religion is not to blame for what happened to her.
