Ojukwu’s brothers drag Bianca to court over family property

- The brothers of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu have taken his widow, Bianca, and another family member to court, over the family’s property

- The plaintiffs want Bianca and her co-defendant to give an account of how the properties left by their father, Sir Louis Ojuwku, have been managed

- They also want a 25% share of his transport company and compound; as well as an order for his will to be resealed

Justice Dennis Mmaduechesi of an Awka high court, has adjourned till March 12, 2018, for a pre-trial conference on the case involving the widow of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Bianca, and other members of the family, over property, Punch reports.

The case had been instituted in 2014 by Aloysius Ojukwu and his brother, Jude Ojukwu, against Bianca Ojukwu and Lotenna Ojukwu.

Legit.ng gathers that the court was informed by Ikenna Egbuna (SAN), counsel for the plaintiff, that he was just served with a motion which would require some time to reply.

Among other reliefs, the plaintiffs are seeking that they be entitled to a 25% share in the compound of their late father, Sir Louis Ojukwu, at No. 73, Owerri Road, Umudim, Nnewi, and a “declaration that the plaintiff are entitled to succeed to 25 per cent shares of their father’s company, Ojukwu Transport Company.”

They are also seeking for the court to compel the defendants to give an account to them (the plaintiffs), of how their late father’s properties have been managed over the years.

The plaintiffs further asked the court for an order to be granted for the resealing of the will of Sir Louis Ojukwu.

While adjourning the case, the trial judge ordered that hearing notices be served on the defendants.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Emeka Ojukwu Jnr, a legal practitioner and son of the late Biafran warlord Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, alleged that Bianca Ojukwu killed his father.

Ojukwu Jnr, speaking in an interview, talked about his father's death, how his name and image have been abused, the role of his widow, Bianca and Anambra state politics.
