BREAKING: Female lawyer who stabbed husband to death sentenced to jail

A female lawyer, Yewande Oyediran, who was accused of stabbing her husband to death has been sentenced to seven years in jail.

The Punch reports that the accused was found guilty on Monday, November 27, of the manslaughter of her husband, Adelowo.

She was said to have stabbed him multiple times during a fiery argument.

Legit.ng had reported that the female lawyer, who is a member of staff of the Ministry of Justice in the state faced trial at the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo state.

She stabbed her France-based husband to death at Akobo area of Ibadan on February 2, 2016.

Yewande was detained at Agodi Prison custody by Kehinde Durosaro-Tijani, the chief magistrate, pending the advice of the director of public prosecution in the state.
