Police allegedly arrest 2 officers selling guns to robbers, kidnappers

- Police have allegedly arrested two officers selling guns to robbers, kidnappers in Abia state

- The arrested corporals are Mbara Udochukwu Force No. 46255 and Glory Eke Force No. 44269

- Udochukwu and Eke are not attached to the same division in the state

The Nigeria Police Force in Umuahia, Abia state have allegedly arrested two corporals for selling revolver pistols to armed robbers, kidnappers and murderers.

According to Sahara Reporters, the arrested corporals are Mbara Udochukwu Force No. 46255 and Glory Eke Force No. 44269.

Legit.ng gathered that Udochukwu is attached to police zone 9 in Umuahia while Eke is attached to Isiala Mbaino division of the state.

It was learned that Jude Madu, an ex-corporal, was also allegedly arrested on Saturday, September 9.

Madu was allegedly arrested and found to be in possession of a phone belonging to Reverend Father Cyricus Onunkwo of Orlu Catholic Diocese, who was kidnapped on Friday, September 1, and found dead the following day.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Nigerian Senate launched an investigation into allegations of corruption leveled against Ibrahim Idris, the inspector general of police by Senator Isah Misau.
