Desperate Barcelona turn to Chelsea midfielder Willian

- Barcelona have contacted representatives of Chelsea attacker Willian Borges

- The Brazilian is seen as an alternative to Coutinho who Liverpool will not sell

- The Camp Nou wide will look to sign Willian and PSG attacker Angel Di Maria

Barcelona have signalled and intention to sign Willian Borges after making contact with the Chelsea star’s representatives.

According to reports, the club know they cannot sign Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele and as such have identified alternatives to the players.

Ernesto Valverde's side are said to have agreed a fee to sign PSG star Angel Di Maria while they hope they can sign Willian.

Coutinho and Dembele were Barca’s first-choice targets, but they have been priced out of deals for them by Liverpool and Dortmund respectively.

Willian is seen as a viable option given he is not at the forefront of Antonio Conte’s plans with Pedro Rodriguez and Eden Hazard ahead of him in the pecking order.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker started only 15 games in the Premier League last season and it is believed that Antonio Conte does not full trust him again because he has shown support for Diego Costa.

The Daily Mail claim that Willian is fearful of being the next player to be cut adrift by the Italian.
