In a rather long Facebook post, Jasmine Merlette shares with the world an extraordinary success story about her cousin, only identified as Warren.

She claims Warren is the true definition of 'black excellence' .His achievements are probably unmatched among his peers in the community of blacks.

“I'm just so proud. He has a 4.3 GPA, was just nominated Prom King at his high school, is the President of Men of Power, which is an organization dedicated to Black male achievement at his school, and he is a National Merit Scholar,” says Merlette on her Facebook post.

Most interestingly, Warren, according to his cousin, has won a whopping full ride scholarships from five highly reputable universities.

“He was accepted into the University of Tulsa (full ride), the University of Oklahoma (full ride), Georgetown University (US$50,000 scholarship), Duke University (US$50,000 scholarship) and Howard University, which he will be attending this fall,” says Merlette.

Nobody could be more proud than Warren’s cousin right now. She clearly can’t hide her joy over his outstanding achievements and it’s possible other family members share the same feelings.
