FIFA Instructor Rates Vincent Enyeama As One of The Best
A FIFA instructor, Louis Crayton, rated Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama as one of the best goal keepers in Africa, in Abuja on Tuesday.
Crayton gave the rating in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on the sidelines of the FIFA Member Associations Goalkeeping Course at the Abuja National Stadium.
He said Nigeria was one of the few countries which have goalkeepers playing for foreign clubs, and Enyeama has also proven himself to be one of Africa’s finest.
“Nigeria is one of the countries which have goalkeepers in foreign clubs such as Lille, where Enyeama is, and Hapoel Be’er Sheva in Israel, where Austin Ejide is,” Crayton, who was a former Liberia national team goalkeeper, said.
“Enyeama is also one of the best, if not the best goalkeeper in Africa.”
The instructor said the aim of the course was to improve goalkeeping skills of the coaches who would then pass on the knowledge to players.
Crayton, however, acknowledged that Nigeria has talents which just needed to be nurtured and developed.
The course which began on Sunday will end on Saturday with 10 national team goalkeeper trainers and 20 club trainers attending.
