Manchester United’s poor form continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Red Devils remain winless after two matches, having lost their opener to Arsenal.

Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes wasted an opportunity to give the Red Devils the lead in the 38th minute, but fired the penalty over the bar.

The 20-time EPL champions took the lead in the 58th minute, with Rodrigo Muniz scoring an own goal despite Leny Yoro pushing Fulham centre back Calvin Bassey.

In the 73rd minute, substitute Emile Rowe scored an equaliser as he converted an assist from Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi, per Sky Sports.

We wanted to win - Amorin

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said his desire was for the team to record their first win of the 2025/26 EPL season.

According to BBC, the Portuguese said the draw against Fulham at Craven Cottage was disappointing.

The former Sporting Lisbon coach said the team played better in their first match against Arsenal. He said:

"If you look at the beginning of the game, the draw is so disappointing but at the end they were in the best momentum when the game finished.
“We were a good team until our goal but then we forgot about our ideas because we wanted to win the football game so badly."
"We continued with the same dynamic that we showed in the last game against Arsenal and we have to maintain that until the 90 minutes [is over]."

Amorim says the best goalkeeper will be fielded

Ruben Amorim said Altay Bayindir was selected due to the number of matches he played during the pre-season.

Amorim added that the best goalkeeper will be selected for game-day matches. He said:

"I am focused on our goalkeepers. Like every manager I look at the amount of training, what I see in pre-season, in the games and try to decide who is the best goalkeeper to use in a game and I am going to continue to do that."

Fernandes points out Manchester United mistake

Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes pointed out the mistake that cost his team the victory, despite their strong performance against Arsenal.

The captain was displeased with the manner in which his team conceded from a set piece, believing it was a situation that should have been addressed differently by the referee.
