Premier League club Tottenham reportedly want RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann to replace Jose Mourinho who was sacked on Monday, April 20
SunSport are reporting that Spurs will do everything possible to land Nagelsmann before the summer — although the 33-year-old is under contract for two years.
After 17 months in charge, Mourinho was kicked out at the club, a move which comes barely six days before their Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Ex-Charlton manager Chris Powell along with former Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason have been told to take charge of the game at Wembley.
It was gathered that the pair are yet to be told they will be in charge until the end of the season as the club continues to search for Mourinho’s replacement.
They are in seventh position on the Premier League standings and at risk of missing out on a place in the top four.
There were insinuations that the former Manchester United manager had fallen out with the club over their role in the proposed European Super League.
Striker Kane, 27, tweeted:
“Thank you for everything Boss. A pleasure to have worked together.”
He will receive the remaining £18million on his deal that ends next summer, unless he finds a new job.
On Monday night, reporters accosted the manager who was said to be in good spirits.
"You know me. I'm not going to say anything," according to GOAL, when asked if he felt he was unfairly treated by the club.
Meanwhile, three elite clubs still in the Champions League may be kicked out of the competition as UEFA is set to punish them for their part over the breakaway Super League.
Same rules will likely apply to Arsenal and Manchester United in the Europa League according to Danish Uefa member Jesper Moller.
Moeller disclosed that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea will be expelled from the Champions League this week.
Legit.ng earlier reported that with Barcelona lifting the prestigious Copa del Rey over the weekend, fresh details have emerged over the future of the club’s captain Lionel messi.
Premier League club Manchester City as well as French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly monitoring the 33-year-old forward whose contract ends at the end of the season.
It was gathered that the father of the multiple Ballon d’Or winner Jorge is currently in Barcelona for showdown talks with the club,.
