Tottenham went back top of the Premier League table following their 2-0 in over Arsenal in the London derby.

Two first-half goals from Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane was enough for Spurs to retain top spot in the English topflight division.

The London derby was full of excitement as Jose Mourinho's side hosted their rivals with 2,000 fans watching at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Lily Whites got their noses in front with a superb finish from Son after he was given time and space to run from half of the field before shooting past Bernd Leno. 1-0 it was after 13 minutes.

Spurs increased their lead to 2-0 with a devastating counter-attack as Son repaid Kane the favour and the England strike found the roof of the net just before half-time.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a great chance in the opening three minutes of the second half but could not keep his header down.

Alexandre Lacazette forced a fine save from Hugo Lloris and the French goalkeeper also made another stop from a Bukayo Saka's free-kick.

Spurs held their lines until the blast of the final whistle to come out of the north London derby with a clean sheet.

Mikel Arteta's side have now lost six out of their last nine matches as continue their poor run of form in the league.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jose Mourinho has attacked the English FA for letting teams including Man United, Man City not play their outstanding matches.
