Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful that Marcus Rashford will be ready for his side's Premier League clash against West Ham United this weekend.

The 23-year-old was removed in the 74th minute of the Red Devils 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint Germain in their Champions League fixture on Wednesday, December 2.

His 32nd-minute goal cancelled out Neymar's early minute strike but it could not stop them from losing the game.

Meanwhile, after the match, Solskjaer told the club's official website. He said:

"It's just niggling him that shoulder injury. Hopefully, he will be ready for West Ham, but we don't know."

However, Daily Star reports that United could be forced to settle for Nigerian star Odion Ighalo with Edinson Cavani facing a three-match ban for a derogatory social media post.

Others available are Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, and Daniel James for the clash against David Moyes' men.

German league side RB Leipzig are next in line after West Ham after PSG defeat and Solskjaer has been positive about the defeat. He added:

“I’m very pleased with performance apart from the fact they were more clinical. We need to be clinical in these types of games. Big games most of the time are decided by fine margins and this time they were against us.

“We know the destiny is in our own hands, we know that we play against a good team Leipzig, who were in the semi-final last year, but we are developing into a better team as well.”

Solskjaer will be without Luke Shaw for the weekend, who picked up a hamstring injury last month.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Neymar made a huge call right after inspiring French champions Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-1 win over Manchester United in the Champions League when he said he wants to reunite with Lionel Messi.

The Brazilian superstar had left Barcelona to the Ligue 1 side in 2017 with many claiming he wanted to leave the ‘shadow’ of Messi in his quest to winning the coveted Ballon d’Or.

Neymar has been heavily linked with a return to the Spanish club, but with Messi already in the final year of his contract, his future remains doubtful.
