Neymar scored a sensational brace to inspire Paris Saint-Germain to a stunning 3-1 win over Man United in a thrilling Champions League clash played at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, December 2.

PSG came into the match knowing too well only victory can assure them a place in the next round of the tournament following false start to the campaign.

United, on the other hand, were out in search of just a point from the fixture to confirm their place in the knockout stage.

However, it was the visitors who got things off a flying start, with Neymar arrowing a finish across a helpless David de Gea to make it 1-0 inside just six minutes of game play.

United restored parity just before the half hour mark through Marcus Rashford's shot that took a deflection off Danilo to fly past Navas into the net.

The early exchanges of the second half saw the Red Devils dominated proceedings, with Anthony Martial missing a sitter in the 49th minute.

Edinson Cavani also went close eight minutes later, but his effort hit the crossbar after a sensational counter attack.

PSG's best chance of the half came in the 68th minute through Banker who was set up by Neymar only for De Gea to deny him.

Marquinhos went on to restore PSG's lead a minute later, squeezing the ball into the net from a well taken corner.

Things went from bad to worse for United soon after, with Fred being handed marching orders for a second booking.

Neymar put the game to bed at stoppage time from a fluidly worked counter attack involving Rafinha.

The match eventually finished 3-1, with PSG going top of Group H with no points, on level with United.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea on Wednesday night, December 2, continued with their impressive performance in the Champions League beating host Sevilla 4-0 in Spain.

Chelsea had already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages before this encounter, but Frank Lampard and his wards proved their superiority over Sevilla again.
